EARN is always in search of volunteers to help with administrative, development, and specialized activities. Our most pressing volunteer needs are for ongoing administrative activities, such as data entry, outreach, and records administration.

Help Out Whenever You Can!

We often have one-time and occasional opportunities where we could use your help! Sign up and we’ll let you know as these needs arise. These include preparing and mailing account statements and other communications, as well as volunteering at special events.

Long-Term: Weekly Office and Outreach Support

With over 1,300 active matched savings account holders, EARN is like a mini-financial institution. And with that comes a fair amount of paperwork, outreach phone calls, mailing, etc. If you have at least three hours per week to spare during regular business hours and you can commit for at least 6 months, you can help deliver the best service to our Savers!

Workshop Instructors

EARN offers monthly “Saver Workshops” on a variety of financial subjects for EARN clients. These workshops are 90 minutes long and include topics ranging from “What’s an IRA and Why Should I Care?” to “Estate Planning: Not just for the Rich.” Instructors for these workshops are provided through the SF Chapter of the Financial Planning Association. If you are a Certified Financial Planner interested in teaching a course, please complete our volunteer form!

Special Projects

EARN periodically has projects that require technical expertise such as web/graphic design, multimedia production, PR, marketing, and communications skills. If you have a background in any of these areas and are interested in lending your talents, please let us know.
