Big Changes at EARN, Part Two: Matched Savings Orientation Goes Online!

A couple months ago, EARN’s Financial Services Team blogged about the exciting new changes we’re making to better meet our Savers’ needs. Today, we are going to take a significant leap on this journey. Are you ready?

Ta da… tadadada… (drum roll, please!)

The orientation for our matched savings program is going online!

Before the online orientation era (or B.O.O, as we like to say), we used to require participants to attend our Individual Development Account (IDA) orientation in person before they could enroll in the program. The orientation was usually an agenda-packed two and a half hour-long presentation. Some Savers had a difficult time coming to the EARN office for the meeting and missed out on learning if our program was right for them.

Now they can watch a fun and short series of videos to learn the basics of how our program works. And, if they don’t understand something, they can rewind to watch the video again.

This series of videos was a collaboration between the Financial Services Team and our talented in-house film director/Levi Strauss Storytelling Associate, Matt Silva. We would love to hear your feedback. Feel free to share your thoughts by sending us an email to help@earn.org.
