Words of Wisdom: EARN Savers Speak Up

My wonderful EARN colleague Olivia Beltran is our Financial Services Associate for Marin County. That means she works directly with our growing group of Saver families in Marin. Olivia recently taught a 3-night series of Personal Finance Workshops in Spanish for a group of new Savers enrolling in our program. 

• Every person dreams of taking control of their lives and liberties, in every aspect EARN provides us the easy way of getting confidence in managing our savings by giving us financial and emotional liberty that allow us to forgo of stress and worries, giving us the key of success.
   
• The workshops helped me to learn to better administer my finances and to know what I spend on, and to take control over my expenses.  It also helped me to learn how to save for emergencies and for when I get old.  Especially for emergencies, because one doesn’t know when something may happen and we may not have money.
   
• These programs helped me to change the personal focus, to make it better and develop it into a progressive work plan, effective toward business for the benefit of the family and the community.
   
• Thanks to this program, I feel secure administrating my money and I have tools to move forward financially.
   
• I learned that it is important to take into account every small thing that one spends money on, day in and day out, because yearly it can be a great amount.
   
• I definitely learned to acquire control of my income and my expenses, and to make a budget.
   
• Well, I believe my interest in saving for an emergency has been revived.
